The Things don’t have arms, legs or a gender. Physically, they are nigh invulnerable and emotionally vulnerable, sensitive and kind. Sometimes they eat spoons!

  • I am enough cartoon transcript The Things are armless, legless, kind entities. They are drawn in blue, which is the color I use for sketching comics. I use black to finish a comic, so this comic is “incomplete” by the normal standards of finishing a comic. Thing 1 looks up into the air, Thing 2 looks at Thing 1. Thing 1 looks earnestly at Thing 2. Thing 2 smiles back. Thing 1 smiles a little tremulously. Thing 1: I am enough. Thing 1 and 2 smoosh their heads together with affection. Thing 2: Always.

  • What Are Emotions? Comic Transcript The Things are kind, big eyed entities without arms or legs. Thing 1 has a small rectangle shape visible in their torso. Thing 2 has a pentagon shape in their belly (oh my, I didn’t quite realize it was a pentagon until I was writing this transcript, it’s just a nice shape, no particular meaning attached!). Thing 1: What are emotions? Thing 2: They’re like feelings, only more so. Thing 1’s blue rectangle shape has migrated up to the back of their neck. Thing 2’s yellow pentagon shape has emerged from its body and now the end of it is in its mouth, like it’s a balloon it’s going to inflate. Thing 1: What are feelings? Thing 1’s blue rectangle shape has migrated on to the top of their head. Thing 2’s yellow shape is inflating like a balloon. Thing 2: They are messages your body sends you. Thing 1’s blue shape has migrated down to the front of their torso. Thing 2’s shape has now turned into a yellow balloon animal (probably a dog). Both the Things are smiling. Thing 2: If the words were written in balloon animal. Thing 1: It’s startling when they pop?
