Emotional Intelligence (Comic #794)

This comic/diagram was created for my blog post "The value of emotional intelligence in technical writing," on my technical writer portfolio site.

It’s been very helpful returning to the thoughts of Daniel Goleman. I remember reading his book, Emotional Intelligence early this century and it’s interesting to be returning to his ideas 20 years on (how can such words be true!).

Now that I’m older I can see with greater clarity where my emotional intelligence is strong and where it has faced challenges, and how it really took a bit of a hit when I moved countries! Always more to learn, keep on learning :).

I do kind of love that the others/social section of the table is with a dog, bwhahahahahah. Not at all neurodivergent over here. Also, dogs are the best.

Thanks to all my patrons and a special big extra thanks to Kate Webb, Erik Owomoyela, Stuart Barrow, Jesse the K, Brian Fies, Tracey Radford, and Jay Hedtke.
