Elephant in the Room Part 1 of 2 (Comic #686)

Naming the elephant in the room is an important first step. Poor ole elephant.

Elephant in the Room Comic Transcript

Boot is in a small cramped room with a grey elephant that looks uncomfortably wedged in.

Boot: Are you Fear Based Decision Making?

Elephant: Yeah.

Boot: Sorry to be rude, but I wish you weren't here. It's crushing me.

Elephant: Yeah, on the savanna I was "Cares About Others," but it's so crowded here, I've changed.

Thanks to all my patrons and a special big extra thanks to Kate Webb, Erik Owomoyela and Sandra M. Odell.

  1. the actual comic doesn’t seem to be showing up, just the transcript.

….also, is this the final stage of the page If it’s not, I really miss having a “latest comic” button, or better yet, the most recent comic showing up when I open the page…

    1. Oh my goodness, thank you so much for letting me know! I’ve fixed that and thanks for letting me know about what you miss, I’ll see what I can do to improve things :-).

  2. Yay, comic!! <3 thanks!

    1. FYI, I’ve been trying to get a better display on the front page. One of the reasons I got this theme was to be able to have a dynamic display that shows a few featured images and links (so it’s welcoming to new folks and regulars) only I haven’t been able to get it to work!

  3. I do like the idea of featured images, because I mean, who doesn’t want to see an old comic again because they’re all awesome, but I was just finding it really difficult to find out if there were any new comics.

    1. yeah, I was hoping one of the featured images to be the latest comic and if you click on it you get to a larger version of it. There’s previous and next, but it is three clicks away, which is a lot of clicks!

    2. I appreciate your feedback so much 🙂 WordPress is a bit tricky in some ways and things aren’t embedding the way I want! But I hope to make it better soon. Thanks for helping me improve 🙂

      1. I may need to hire a web designer to get this to work properly. None of the solutions I tried look pretty nice.

One way to be updated whenever I post new content is if you go to Patreon you can follow me there https://www.patreon.com/lizargall

If you go to the site there are paid tiers of support (always gratefully appreciated, especially as I don’t have ads on this site) and also if you scroll further down you can get the Follow option. That will send you updates for pages that are available to everyone.

You won’t get behind the scenes content, but you will get an email when there’s a new comic available for everyone.

I’d love it if you could follow me at Patreon 🙂 https://www.patreon.com/lizargall
