595: Liminal Space

This was drawn in a rush for New Year, but there can be many liminal spaces.

Boot: May you get what you need.

Thomas Believes in You

This is Thomas, one of Seanan McGuire’s Maine Coons. For his health he has to have a lion haicut and then wear cute t-shirts. He is my friend.

588: Resting

I started this comic a few years ago, but I couldn’t get it right. It’s about 4 panels longer now! And in pleasing news, for me, resting differently can involve a variety of things including magnesium, melatonin, meditation, and a CPAP machine. If you have a worry and the opportunity, I highly recommend a sleep study!

Thing 1: Sometimes resting makes me really tired.

Thing 1: So I don’t

Thing 1: And then I fall over and rest all the time and I just feel worse!

Thing 2: Maybe you need to rest differently.

Thing 1: It’s exhausting to think about.

Thing 1: I think I need to recover from thinking about resting and recovering before I figure out how to rest and recover.

Thing 1: Which makes me so stressed I can’t sleep.

Thing 1: What if I never sleep again?

Thing 2: Boop!

Thing 1: zzzzz

582: Marie Curie and Boot

I like to think Boot and Marie Curie would have hung out and been fierce together 🙂

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.

– Marie Curie

I like that Marie Curie says fear _less_. Understanding is so great for getting past blocks. Sometimes understanding might even be, hello ancient survival mechanism of fight, fight, freeze or fawn, would you like some blood pressure medication? I would like my mind to be clear while I face this scary thing! A steady heart can be handy in days of frayed souls.
