The Things don’t have arms, legs or a gender. Physically, they are nigh invulnerable and emotionally vulnerable, sensitive and kind. Sometimes they eat spoons!

Thing 1: You know that blissed out feeling when you're working in the zone and time flies by? Both the Things close their eyes with happiness.
Thing 2: Sometimes our creator gets like that when she's drawing us. Thing 1 looks up.
Thing 1: And sometimes when she's creating something else! Both Things look out of the panel at us with raised eyeballs (they don't have eyebrows, so differing eyeball shapes act as a substitute).

Narrator: What if someone used she? Bunson: I would laugh! Bunson: And we’d eat cake Bunson: or dance Bunson: or both! Mayara: I use she and her. Narrator: What if someone said he? Mayara: I’d think they’re jealous of my beautiful hair. Narrator: And if they called you it? Mayara: I might bite them. Boot: Pronouns are what people use when they can’t remember your name. Boot: I am Boot.
